As a member of the Speakers Bureau at the NASA/Johnson Space Center, Debbie has addressed many diverse audiences for over 20 years. While her presentations are customized for every audience, Debbie specializes in four main topics.

Debbie comes from a Mexican American family who never considered college as an option. Debbie talks about her journey from high school to Astronaut training manager. She takes the audience through each step and discusses the challenges along the way with anecdotes and advice to motivate and inspire others interested in a STEM career.

Debbie has led many groups and projects during her NASA career. Debbie shares her theory of how going back to the basics in life can help you achieve success.

Debbie was a member of the very elite Mission Operations Directorate. She has been a team player and led many teams including international teams to accomplish space flight training goals.

Debbie worked with the NASA ISS Space Flight Training team for 22 years. She discusses risks and rewards of exploration in extreme environments.
